The ongoing countrywide lockdown due to the fight against the Coronavirus is causing irregularities in starting a new academic session. In order to start the new session, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to promote all the students of 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 11th of the 2019-20 session in the next class without holding any examinations in all schools run by the Secondary Education Council, Prayagraj.
Letter written by Secondary Education Principal Secretary
Principal Secretary for Secondary Education Aradhana Shukla has written a letter in this regard to the Director of Education (Secondary). According to the letter, in view of the lockdown announced for the prevention of Coronavirus, it has been decided to promote all the students of classes 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 of the 2019-20 session.
Board copies yet to be evaluated
The UP Board’s 10th-12th examinations have already taken place. Now everyone is waiting for the exam results. Earlier, the work of the evaluation of copies was also postponed. After which the copies have not been evaluated yet due to the lockdown. This year a total of 56 lakh students had appeared in the 10th and 12th board exams of Uttar Pradesh.
Countrywide Lockdown extended till 03rd May
Due to the increase of cases related to Coronavirus infection, all educational institutions, universities and colleges to schools in the country have been closed. Apart from this, all the board exams, competitive and professional examinations have also been canceled. In such a dire situation, many schools and colleges are teaching students through online mediums. At the same time, the 21-day lockdown ending on 14th April has been extended till 3rd May 2020.
