Bhupen Hazarika, a renowned singer, and composer passed away on Saturday in a Mumbai hospital from multiple organ failure. Age-wise, he was 86.

Hazarika became unwell with pneumonia on October 23. He had to have a quick procedure when an esophagus was put into his body.
On September 8 of this year, the Padma Bhushan recipient celebrated his birthday by singing along to his fans’ favorite songs and cutting a cake in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
