Bhupen Hazarika Death Anniversary: On Friday, it will be ten years since Bhupen Hazarika, also known as Sudakanta, passed away on November 5, 2022. Hazarika, regarded as one of the best musicians in the nation, also referred to as the Brahmaputra Bard, was born in the Assamese city of Sadhya on September 8, 1926.

Bhupen Hazarika’s death

Bhupen Hazarika, a renowned singer, and composer passed away on Saturday in a Mumbai hospital from multiple organ failure. Age-wise, he was 86.

Hazarika became unwell with pneumonia on October 23. He had to have a quick procedure when an esophagus was put into his body.

On September 8 of this year, the Padma Bhushan recipient celebrated his birthday by singing along to his fans’ favorite songs and cutting a cake in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
